Activities

Children in the kindergarten of KorcaTACT III project develops a wide range of activities with the aim of child protection. Its activities help the child and its family to lead a better life. In order to reach its objectives TACT works with different partners and actors involved in child protection, including the community itself. It articulates activities at all levels, from field implementation to policy making, with direct co-intervention toward children suspected victims of trafficking or children at high risk, empowerment of their families and their communities, capacity building of the local State structures in charge and advocacy toward the decision makers. With a systematic approach, activities involve all key duty bearers, including the State, Municipalities, schools and communities (Roma and Egyptian groups) for the prevention of child trafficking and other forms of abuses and the protection of children victims and other children in danger.

Summer camp in ElbasanIn addition to day to day child protection services, Terre des hommes field staff organizes small scale activities in their communities to raise awareness and education on child protection issues. The subjects of these activities are proposed based on the situation analysis on child protection issues. For example, the CPU will organize a school role game that contribute to awareness of students and their teachers about child protection in general and child protection at school more specifically.
